Will they be themed? Like somein the medieval era som in modern some WWII etc? Yes, but not ww2 or medieval era. It will be small battles, like the battle of actium, battle of kursk, battle of austerlitz or ehat so ever Yeah I figured, but there are some really good battles in the medieval eras youd be missing out on

For the jungle and desert tile. Does the attacking or defending unit need to be in the specific tile for bonus to apply.

btw another note that all bonuses will only be valid with attacking, why?
1. it will trigger you more to attack 2. most people probably don't know the benefits of the enemy, to make sure they don't have to look everything, except their positions, will make the war easier to understand. it's easier to focus on your advantages, than on someone else advantages, it's proven multiple times

Lol "Attack of the Generals" maybe "Battlefield of the Generals" probably better I'm just brainstorming names here... you probably have a completely different preference. BotG is at least recognizably different from GW or whatever else pops up later in the future.

I have an idea, we already have the chess games, why not implement something like this into the forum as well? These could only be between two people, or many 3-4 if the battle is big enough. saltin has already toyed around with the AI and has gotten chess down it seems, so he could add something which would allow for someone to create a custom map, with the same format as the map you've showed us Desophaeus, and have pieces for each player. This looks like it could be so much fun! I wish I could implement a mini game like this complete with gfx but I am not a coder and this would be way past my skill level.I do keep an eye on other developers work though and on rare occasion there is something that can be imported.I might put in a request for other devs and see if they bite I'm learning C++ and I'm taking a certification course some time later this year. If I pass it I'd be glad to help. Erm, assuming C++ is supprted.

NetherFreek The outcome of a dice roll is basically one of the generals will die, the attacker or defender, right?

NetherFreek The outcome of a dice roll is basically one of the generals will die, the attacker or defender, right? The generals wont die, only the troop. You fight 1v1 with enemie troops, when you play correctly you only have to throw 6es, since there are a lot of advantages for the attacker. If you think thats not triggering enough i can say: when you throw a 6 no-one will win. But then if you calculate all advantages together the attacker simply cant lose
