Hi. Please someone tell me how to capture this enemy port. I cant get any of my ships near this port as it is landlocked and my allies wont move their ships.

Either use artillery or turn your allies neutral

Try adding sea movement capability to your land forces (icon with a little guy and an arrow pointing into a boat, costs 40 coins), and then come around from the landward side if that way is free of enemy units. However, remember that you must first destroy any enemy unit sitting in that port, and then have one more of your own still able to move in and occupy it, or the enemy/AI will just respawn a unit into the port and you have to do the same thing all over again. Again, land forces (inf, cav, artillery) can ONLY occupy a port if they have seaborne capability.

And yes, if your ally take it you can steal it.Excellent, because last night I had some lazy ******D on a horse waltz into a port I had spent valuable time and health reducing and was just about to capture. Evidently the AI-as-enemy attacked the friendly AI (allied general) and lost, and the general followed up the kill with a cavalry charge into the vacated space. I gather all I have to do is wait for him to move out and then slide one of my own units in, or is it more complicated than that?

Stealing 2 or more has a chance of turning them neutral. S/L to do that. Farming usually requires it to stop annoying AI and getting their cities. Note that attacking neutral too much will make them an enemy side or third faction (green). How to steal Cities/stables/factory: walk in. They will scold you and say that they will break off relationship, but S/L and you should be fine.

What is S/L in this context? I am very new here and don't recognise some of the common abbreviations and game-specific slang terms people are using.
