Okay, so im playing as poland in 1939, I've just defeated Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain, and the other axis powers in Europe, then I begin pushing into India which has been taken by Japan. I send my superior troops in, but they begin spawning countless numbers of paratroopers on me and I can't advance any longer! The same thing is happening to me again. Im playing as France, 1960, and I've taken out most of the USSR with the exception of Kharborvsk in the Far East. I've taken India, Africa, Thailand, Tibet, Xinjiang and most of russia. Now I can't advance because the chinese begin spawning a bunch of paratroopers! Easytech needs to fix this, stat.

Thatamericanguy I saw the same complaint on weibo by a chinese player mentioning the paratroopers but Easytech ddidnt respond to him.
I wonder if it is ressources related, that the Ai gets so much of it in the late game that they can spawn that many, plus there is no cap on paratrooper/bombers/missiles.

Thats why I never play conquest, I prefer campaigns since the late game over resource thing never becomes a problem. aka too many forts, too many paratroops, GOG kinda prevented this too an extent with the large numbers of different ai.

Yes that happened when I played conquest. China basically use all paratrooper to invade North American and when I advance they use paratrooper to stop my troop.

Tanks is the answer to paratrooper spam.

I think a difficulty selection thingy is the way to go for conquest. There should be easy mode, where the AI can't use paratroopers, your enemies are weaker than you and your allies, and you still keep the 'structures' (landmines, land forts, etc) from an enemy nation when you defeat it. Medium mode should be where the AI can only deploy 2-3 paratroopers per turn, the strength of your allies and the enemy are equally balanced and all 'structures' disappear when you defeat an enemy. And hard mode would be the current difficulty of the game where your allies are weak and the AI can use an unlimited amount of paratroopers.

Once tanks cannot take out a paratrooper in one hit, they become helpless against countless paratroopers. And that is usually the case since paratroopers come with airstrke/missiles.

We are lucky to have 3 difficulties level in missions, the great majority of this kind of games NEVER allow difficulty levels.Hard mode only, this is because they want to encourage players into spending real money.
Maybe I am lucky but I was never spamed with huge numbers of pratroopers, rarely the worse I got was about 12-15 of them and I have very good tank technology. In that case a few tanks+ quickly building a couple forts was enough to deal with them because you can defend in such a way as many of tank get a second shot. Super tanks are the best here since they attack from range, this mean this method doesnt work great in the 1939 era though only later periods where super tanks are more available. Missiles against tanks is a problem yes,but then that means the ai is just spending more ressources and we can do the same by building more.
I also always build forts and pre_position a couple tanks where I see the AI likes to drop them,in that way I have a small "quick response" counter-paratroopers team.
Sending an early "scout",a single motorized infantry unit to win far away land (land not cities) so I can buid forts in foreign lands in critical areas is now one of the usual methods used.

Different players experience is not the same because technology has a big impact for both sides. Also maybe level of airport might have an impact.
Paratroopers can be wimpy regular infantry or can be motorized infantry or can be special forces infantry. When paratroopers drop as special forces they can really mess things up,even light tanks have a hard time fighting these.

When that happen to me I avoid the paratroopers and try to conquer the near city with the airfield. Then i destroy them with air strikes to lower their health and with tank to wipe them out.

Haven't tried this yet but armored cars might do well against paratrooper, also if not too far special forces. Both have damage bonus against infantry.
What is tempting to do but does poorly is sending motorized infantry against spec.forces paratroopers, they just get ripped to shreads.

The original 1.0.0 wasnt bad at all with the paratroopers spam, now that I am playing 1.1.4 (the latest android version) it is a much bigger problem. The drops happen much more often, much stronger in numbers and often predictable location.
The ai loves them so much it even paradrop them into theit own defensive perimeter.

I got obliterated one time when the US send a bunch of paratroopers and I met them with motorized. It was a massacre cause the troopers were special forces. Now I always check to see what kind of paratroopers they are before sending anything at them

The most challenging one for me is to attack China from Middle East or Europe in 1960. China spams paratrooper like rain, no nearby airfield to provide air support, and cities that can produce reinforcement are far.

At that moments I long back to World Conqueror 2, where you could spawn 1 paratrooper per 2 rounds.
