Land Units: Infantry-Regular troops. No effects Artillery-Gain +1 when attacking, but -1 when defending Cavalry-Start with +1 when attacking, but this number is reduced later on through technology
Naval Units: Troop Ships-Ferry troops across water, -2 when in battle Frigate-Start with +1 when fighting, but number is reduced later on Ironclads-Gain +1 when attacking and defending
Please note that all bonuses for both the troops and from technology only apply to units which are less advanced than you are. So if you research Post-Napoleonic Thought, infantry will get a +1 bonus against all enemies who do not have Post-Napoleonic Thought, but that bonus goes away if you face an enemy who has research the technology.
Also, new units will show up when i finish all the technologies.
UPDATE! From now on, you gain 6 troops per province whenever you build.

Good question, I think that is a bit to annoying since you will need to build one troopship per every troop transporting. General William T. Sherman how many troops per ferry?

António Salazar, ah, sorry. I always forget that when using my IPad to quote, nothing comes out. I basically said that each troopship can carry two units.
