I was PMI spamming against an infantry general and I found that he triggered bayonet chare even though his health was above 50! It was around 100-50 I guess, but certainly it was above 50 and every time fhe skill triggered for each attack from my motorized infantry.
Does this mean bayonet charge trigger hp might actually be higher than 50? I have no idea about tide of iron btw.

This is actually how it is meant to be. Skills of "x extra damage when health below 50" are triggered when unit health is below half. This apply for bayonet, artillery barrage and tide of iron.

I was curious about this too. So it's 50% and not just 50? Same for Artillery Barrage and Tide of Iron.

You're correct that it applies to the other two skills as well. That's why some generals are quite capable of carrying out the damage despite being heavily wounded. I love those particular skills. Even Erich von Manstein agrees as well. I remember he do recommend it as an option for your no-eyes cmdrs later on in the endgame.

I have completely overlooked this skill. This is almost as good as plain fighting then!!!!!!!!! Damn I'm really stunned

Wait... what is the year for the conquest? If you could paraspam him why don't you just bomb him? 0.0 So basically airport range did not reach the target, so I landed armies at the farthest radius and let them grab the kill. Or, sometimes because of high air defence it was more economical to use infantries to crack the city than to bomb it.

Okay, I assume that is around 8 hex far from the city, and Super Tank is not avaliable, what I will do is to send FA using a few rounds, if it is not an emergency

Oh, russia to Japan in 1943, wait for the US to reach the Honshu while keep sending FA and Battleships, this should use less resourses

Ah, being Japan, you should better ask me for it, I have doen all eras excluding the aliens with Japan OwO though still, if it is not urgent I still think the paraspamming just doesn't worth it, maybe wait till it moves to a position that bombers can reach him, or if he stays idel in a city, your method is acceptable then.

Bayonet Charge is a good skill, but... Are you making an eye covered infantry?

Bayonet Charge is a good skill, but... Are you making an eye covered infantry? Nop that was an enemy general's skill. Of course I wouldn't waste a precious eye-covered for infantry! By mad skill I mean tide of iron
