The crusades bit i got from desopheus, the winner of this poll is the the final theme. The crusade doesn't have to be a specific one, it can easily incorporate events from all of the major ones. If you wanted more flexibility and more materials, it can be something that spans all of those major crusades. Or focus on a specific one like you said. Up to you. |

Was the 4th one the kids crusade? The epic fail one? No the 4th one was the one where the crusading knights went berserk on Constantinople and nearly burnt it down. Plenty of things were looted and destroyed tho. An event in the TW would be equivalent: The various armies of the players from Western Europe goes to the city of Constantinople, sacked, ***Event triggered! *the Byzantine player loses an emperor, then gets sacked by the Western European players for a full phase. *A new govt set in place (basically the Byz drops down in income, techs, and has to start all over again with building an army), *and various Byzantine provinces given to other players. *Byzantium is suspended for 3 phases from warring with anyone (because it was so badly weakened), the Muslims or the Christians cant touch Byz for the duration of the suspension. |

If Byzantium is going to be screwed over this much like it was in real life, then i don't think the Byzantines should be playable and instead be an NPC.
