One of the things I hate about this game is not knowing what I need to do to win each campaign scenario. Sometimes the text at the start gives useful hints but is usually worthless (maybe it was better in the original chinese).
Sometimes victory is gained by killing all the enemy generals (or maybe a subset of them and I just happend to get one of the needed ones last). I know that some of the scenarios that depend on capturing cities require only a subset but I have no idea if all the cities I took were needed. I am starting this thread so people can post what they know about each scenario. Please post even incomplete information; for example, if you win by capturing a city post a list of all the cities you held at the time. If enough people do this we will be eventually be able to eliminate the unneeded ones.
And now I'd like to make a personal request. What the **** do I have to do to win the "Copenhagen Campaign" scenario? I did one game where I destroyed all the enemy sbips and didn't win. Do I need to capture all the ports or destroy all the guns or both.

For copenhagen, kill all the red pulsating russian and danish ships and destroy the copenhagen units and coastal forts, kill the danish generals and dont mess with the russians. Usually the targets are set as the generals or cities with red circles to clear levels

The targets that you need to kill/capture for victory condition are indicated by red pulsing marks. For example, in Copenhagen campaign, you need to destroy 3 Russian ships (upper right), most of the coastal forts, 2 Danish generals, and a port in Denmark.

Thank you both. Due to poor eyesight I did not notice the red marks until you told me to look for them. Now that I know what to look for this game will be a lot less frustrating.

Thank you both. Due to poor eyesight I did not notice the red marks until you told me to look for them. Now that I know what to look for this game will be a lot less frustrating. I remember when I first started the game that I too did not notice that red=objective and yellow=bonus target and sure it was frustrating trying to finish the campaigns not knowing these things! I am glad you got help DRL,hope you visit us often,to ask more or just hang out! And when done with European war 4 try your hand at the very fun World Conqueror 3 its a different type of game but plays a lot like EW4, we have so many fans playing both games
