What do you people think, who was the general that made the most heroic last stand in the Napoleonic history? Something like giving his life or making a last stand to cover a retreat.

For me I would say it was Peter Bagration:

I'm actually going to agree with you on that one. Why? I've only ever researched Bag, and it was for a school project:P

(Insert Lannes' flag story here) but jokes aside, Lannes for obvious reasons like what he did in Egypt

For me I would say it was Peter Bagration: Bagration is an amazing general, he's underrated in European war 4

Smart choice my enemy Smart choice Best of all, i got an A+ Completely out of context, but it reminded me and I have nowhere else to put it. I had a 10 page research project, and I had to present it in front of the class, I kept mispronouncing Marshall Foch's name. It sounded like Marshall *Auto Corrected*, it was quite funny.

I either say Fok or Fokh, later is the German pronounciation, my best language

I would also mention Battle of Khulm (Chlumec) during War of 6th Coalition. Russian general Osterman-Tolstoy (14-16 thousand) was holding the army of general Vandamme (32-35 thousand) and saved allied army from encirclement after the defeat in the battle of Dresden.
Osterman-Tolstoy and Ermolov corps showed great courage during 29th of August fighting against Vandamme's army
