This mission is incredibly difficult for me. It's the second to last coalition mission. I have rank 98 Sophia, and rank 86 Kate and Fatimah. Anybody know a strategy to defeating the french? Napoleon and Ney aren't a problem for me, Soul, Davout, and the bunch of generals in the south are a problem.

Here's what I do, - play defensively at Amsterdam to defeat Napoleon and Ney - Take Waterloo and Brussels - rally troops to the north of Paris (also join with those from Britain) and destroy the fort (Sophia, that is) - Ignore Mets for now. Leave small troops to defend Waterloo and Brussels (militia or line infantry will do) - Bombard Paris with artillery. Normally, I don't attack with infantry or cavalry because they would die really quick. I just put them there to defend artillery. Important thing is to do this slowly and patiently. Do not advance too fast. - If you happen to capture the stable south of Paris then spam horses from there. But if you don't have gold to spam horse, do not take it before Paris since you would need to spend troops defend it. Paris (and defeating Davout and Soult too) is priority. - Once you capture Paris, you probably need to spend a bit of time defending it from French troops from the West. - Attack Nancy when you have resource to do so. - Finally, move south to attack Murat and take the city.

Thank you. I was able to win using that strategy, except all of their generals rushed Brussels and fell one by one. I used Fatimah to defeat Grouchy in the east, and Murat eventually attacked Austria where I had Paget waiting for him. After he died, I had Paget take Nancy while my artillery mopped up Davout.

Ok. Just tried war of glory and I don't know what to do. I used my forces in Southampton to circle around to Bordeaux because of Paget saying the rear is weak, but I am lost as to what I should do with my other units after capturing Paris. Any tips for this mission?

Kanue gives great walkthrough in European war 4! I am glad it worked out for you Sad Palafox.
You need to start a new thread though, help thread need to have a single subject only. This way future posters can find the help they need. You can copy&paste your question into a new thread and title it with the correct campaign.
Please do not add comments to this thread unless it relates to the battle of waterloo.

Aha,I seen that, retreat all to britain and play defence.Though it was funny strategy but you never know sometimes weird plans end up working out.

you're right saltin but in that strategy the little island got a bit crowded with all the french generals reaching just for wellington. dumb AI -_-.

I had the strategy of retreating to Britain and building a ton of coastal forts to stop enemies from landing, with artillery behind to attack. After killing most enemy generals, I sent my generals back to Amsterdam and captured Brussels and Nancy but missed Paris by one turn. Needless to say it took a while to get my defence set up, and I never took the time to try it again.

well i am considering this strategy (kanue's) and the other one of the retreat and so far nothing happened, that's why i played the french campaign and completed the level three emperors btw when i play kanue's strategy i keep defending till turn 12 and then soult comes in so it becomes frustrating plus that general in the water keeps hitting wellington so i am still making new tactics to complete it.......

Above are indeed great strategies!
However I was wondering can anyone complete the war within 19 rounds to receive a five-star and 50 medals?
If yes, how? Thanks a lot!

Let me tell you smth very important about this mission.
Buy cheapest unit in London and put your Merchant with ***** stars.
For some turns stay close to the Napoleon, but not advance, let they come. To force them to do mistakes I'm preparing them cheapest fort (99% chance that they;ll move ). If you let Blucher to conquer any city he'll stay and do nothing till very end.
Ships will be very good when France will attack from the west in nort west.
2 turns less than needed with : Berthier, Sulkowski with drum, Sophia, Godebski (Berthier was out for most of the game , because he's my merchant if good city appears).

I have Kate, Sophia, Golitsyn and Sulkowski. I'm confused as to whether I should put Kate on a ship or on artillery;she's okay on both.

I have Kate, Sophia, Golitsyn and Sulkowski. I'm confused as to whether I should put Kate on a ship or on artillery;she's okay on both. Place her on the heavy arty at sea and Sophia on the rockets at sea. It's a slug fest on ground so putting Kate on any of the Frigates is a waste. Anyways, you wouldn't be able to help Spain land and establish a foothold either ways, so you might as well maximise her worth by using her on land.
