- When asking for help, it often works better if you give a rough idea of your own strength. The advice you can receive might not even be realistic if you just started and have no generals or items, for example. So help the helper give tips that fit you. No need for a detailed list, just briefly tell us your situation (who you have).
Eg. I have generals A, B, C and D. I am stuck on Mission X because of reasons Y and Z.
Eg. I have generals E, F and G. I am looking for general recommendations for Pacific 1942. (GOG3)
- You should also specify what went wrong, if possible.
Eg. The Coalition forces keep spamming troops in 1806 and I cannot defeat the spam on my own. My allies are too passive and useless.
- If existing guides do not work, it is ideal if you specify what went wrong and your current strength. More specific advice can be given to tackle the issues you face rather than general tips / advice that worked on the existing guides.
- Another thing is keeping in mind that tech levels (if applicable), the strength of your generals (if it is not fixed) and other in-game mechanics can have a huge impact on the mission; this is often the case in the later campaigns, and some of the advice and strategy will only work with better tech or stronger generals.
- It is possible that eventually it will be impossible for you to pass a mission and no advice can help. This usually means you have a deficiency you need to fix before attempting the mission again. (Eg.: grind to upgrade your tech levels, earn more Medals to recruit more generals / upgrade your existing generals, get new items, ect.)
- Also, do take note that it takes reloading the game for someone to give hints and tips on mission; not everyone is willing to do that, so be patient for a response.
- As this is an international community, you may have to wait for other members who are willing to help to be available in their own time zones. As such, you may not necessarily receive help immediately.
Note: If you are stuck on a mission for a very long time, even with a period of grinding, and no help arrives, you may "bump" your thread by posting in it. Tagging the most active members on that board may also serve to attract some help.
- Some games may have a missions thar contain different difficult levels or names that overlap with that of another mission in another part of the game. Please specify what mission are you exactly stuck on.
Eg. In GOG3, certain campaigns share the same name despite being from a different series or opposing factions in the same series.
Eg. In EW6:1914, certain campaigns share the same name as a History Mode mission. Plus, there are Challenge modes for the various Campaigns and Conquests.
- Please check if there are existing guides! You may have encountered problems which other members on the EFC had encountered earlier on and tackled.
You may check the Library, if applicable, and type the name of the mission in the board's search bar to look for threads on that specific mission.
Note: If there is an existing discussion which is incomplete, simply "bump" it up and there should be help on the way.

Saltin, may this receive a universal pin?
I hope these tips can enable you to have a better experience when asking for help on the EFC.
Enjoy!
