How do battleships work in this? Most of time as movement for ground units, but they can battle on sea and near land(by assaulting ground units) as well

What do you mean with how many?? Like how each province needs 3 battles to take it. How many of those 3 battles can a battleship assist in.

I take a battleship and for example take it to Iceland where my infantries are fighting, I fight three land battles and the ship supports in all three and later the province is taken. Is this what you mean?

Is this what you mean? Yes, but battleships can't conquer province on their own(without land units)
