Do princesses count?
If so then for EW4 definitely Lan but if they don't then Lannes.
Why?
Because he has the assault art you can use for forts and enemies, he has the geography to move around, and has the leadership to breach through enemy lines. Give him a tent and snare drum/attack item and he'll be unstopable.
For GoG: I honestly don't know, I'd go with Rommel from what I've seen in his stats.
For WC3: Manstein, definitely Manstein
