Not a starter sleep farm since it takes a bit of setup and strong generals but i think i have 1943 Finland and Romania down. Trick is to drive to and take Moscow; for finland you need to take St Petersburg first then Moscow.
Used 3 artillery (Konev, manstein and Goverov) and 2 tanks (patton and guderian). Be careful since the russians are really strong but its not a big deal if you lose generals. Computer doesnt really know how to use them in autoplay anyways. Snag Kiev and Stalingrad also if ya can. Only makes it quicker

It might seem odd at first to use Manstien as artillery, but in fact he is a fantastic artillery general. 4 stars artillery (+20), lvl 3 plain fighting (+15) and lvl 4 explosives, and 5 movement! Although he does not have artillery barrage which makes him inferior to Govorov in terms of output, he has far greater movement compared to him which makes him more valuable. Yes, his best talent indeed lies in tank. But the thing is there are many good tank generals (Guderian, Patton, Rommel) and you usually need only 2 of them (3 at most), while there is a lack of good artilleries and you need as many as them as possible (3 at least, and as many as possible in against aliens.) That's why Manstein fits better as artillery in most case, and he does excellent job.

ok, so that would work on a inf as well? Theoretically, but you seldom need Inf. Usually you can just have Tank/Art

Fyi... i found finland a much more dicey to setup than romania. Finland also took a lot longer through completion. Regarless its probably not more than 20 minutes to setup either. I just ran into more russian genrals at the same time and consequently lost more generals on Finland setup.
I am not seeing an easy path to setting up a sleep farming scenario for 1950 and 1960. Anyone have any strategies for this?

Spot on. I actually rarely use him as a tank-every once in awhile. Maybe if more than one supertank is avaliable. Right now, my artillery tech is four levels higher than my tank so it makes sense.
