Hey all,
So now that Mountbatten has traded up (or perhaps down) for the Officers' Lounge, this board is mine. As such, I find it apt to introduce myself and my rules for people who aren't residents of Mod Board
Hi, I'm Jean-Luc Picard, formerly known as Picard. I live in California, so I'm available at random times between 1700 hours and 0700 hours GMT. My interests and hobbies include: railroads, model railroading, traveling, history (particularly Napoleonic), EW4, WC3, modding, and the forum. I'm also in charge of forum social media here. Now for the serious stuff:
If you feel your presentation may be inappropriate and want to clear it with me, shoot me a message. We'll talk it through and decide. This is by no means necessary, and only applies if your topic might be controversial/political.
If I see a posted poll/presentation which I think might be inappropriate, but isn't too blatantly against the rules, I will PM with you about it and, if I remain convinced that it is inappropriate, remove it.
If your poll/presentation is blatantly against the rules, I will whisk it away to a moderator hideout and discuss with you by PM whether we should return it.
If your thread was not against the rules but was moved, there will be a "this thread has moved" message. This is because I think it was a better fit elsewhere. I will also PM you explaining my decision, and I may be open to undoing it
My personal rules:
1. Respect each other
2. Respect the forum rules and my rules
3. Respect the moderator team, including me
4. Don't spam or be intentionally stupid in other ways
5. Tag me in threads that you think need moderation, my username is "mortier" (no quotes)
6. Try to make any criticism as constructive as possible
This forum isn't too strict,and I won't be, but if you do something too blatant there will be consequences
