I started my Easy tech xp with wc2, which was lots of fun but not really nice game play or illustrations.
At the moment I started Wc3, I was hoocked immediatly. After being stuck in the game, I found this forum..the rest is history.. I even restarted the game and followed the pro-player strategy made by Manstein, succesfully. Atm, I am only somethimes play it to finish this game.. I dont think the Graphics are best and AI of aliens is really bad , but ok they are with great numbers and have a strong shield. So, as illustrated with a fresh restart its stays for me number 1 easy tech game. The History aint perfect but ww2 and cold war periods are great fun and conquest mode is nice. Creating 1eyed general is also fun.
I tried for 8 times ew4, since lots of peeps are very happy with it, but after wc3 and gog2:ace its game play and graphics are really bad imo. So wont try a 9th time..
On request of this forum and its members I started (and payed for it 0,99ct) with GOG2:Ace.. And posted all information I could on this forum.
I felt a little annoyed by peeps bashing this game in here (especially mods who first stimulated me to get as much info as possible or peeps that only played 1 continent or not even played the game at all.. But whatever, its your loss you did not play the game properly and enjoyed the struggle to succeed all campaigns.
What is great in the game? (1) the graphics are way nicer then previous games, also (2) sounds and fight effects. (3) the increasing difficulty of each level is remarkably well designed and without proper progress in unit, general, components, cards, shield you cannot finish it and getting stronger. So after a while when upgrading and getting to the next level in a steady pace you really have to think over every turn you make to succeed the level. This difficulty (4) in every level is known out of wc3 but in this game much broadlier and well balanced performed (not just buy and increase general and tech level). (5) pvp, and legion mode should be here (6). Medal farming is way better then wc3 setting. I am for more then a couple of months the number 2 of itunes (behind a easy tech full graded member), and still hoping this game gets the final upgrade which is promised to make it really good game.
What should be fixed to make it indeed a great game in this update (1) more story line withing human fractions. (2). Legion modus (3). Getting rid of the hackers (not possible) or give all other members acces to the strong units which now only can get bought with real money or with hack. 4. Conquest modus.
Things that make the game less great and wont be changed. 1. General upgrades/diversity is new and very dissapointing.. Unit upgrades are a good substitution however!! 2. Aliens.. Pff is this really necassry? I dont like sifi either but accepted it. After accepting the game play is worthy!
