1. When I sell a general I bought from an academy, do I get a refund or do I lose all the medals (purchase and increasing HP)?
2. What are some good naval generals to buy?
3. Govorov or Badoglio?

1-you only get the percentage back (the percentage who do not remember) 2 Ozawa to start dönitz and Yamamoto for later 3-badoglio to the beginning and then to govorov

Good Air/Navy: Eisenhower Yamamoto Ozawa (beginning general)
Naval flagship: Donitz Nimitz
But practically speaking, more than one navy general is a waste of medals. Use Ozawa for the beginning, then Yamamoto will be enough for later.

1. 80% back. 2. Ozawa for beginning, Yamamoto or Nagano for endgame. 3. If you can, Govorov.

Nimitz has best output but is quite slow, so yamamoto or donitz is a better choice as navy general

A couple other questions: 1. I misspent some medals on a general I built, what happens if I sell dismiss one of them? 2. What about Fletcher for a naval General?

Govorov is better of course, but he's not a good choice to start with due to the cost. So... Well Badoglio first, then later get Govorov (around 4th general to add to your team, make sure you have Ozawa after Badoglio then a 5 star tank general like Guderian or Valutin before Govorov). 2. Others have answered more than enough. 1. 80% refundable, but 20% nonrefundable. You don't want to buy and sell too much. I brought first a stupid one, 3 star tank general from Romania, Drimscrew (my nickname for him). But I did buy Badoglio second, then Ozawa, and then couldn't go all the way to 3,000 medals without losing patience so I brought Valutin instead of Guderian but still a solid choice. I recently got Govorov a couple of weeks ago. I still keep the Romanian. It's sorta a Meyer type general that I could still use for now, except that I probably wasted 70 medals (after eventually selling him later) instead of buying Meyers which was much cheaper (almost half of the price). Not too bad in damage to myself with that mistake.

Lose 20% of medals spent, permanently. You still can get 80 back. Don't build up any generals until you have a minimum team of 6 strong generals. 2. Forget him. Too expensive without giving you the bang for your buck. Yamamoto or Donitz pretty much.
