There were 8 colonies, 3 in Africa, 3 in north America and 2 in South America. So two biggest were Gambia(Africa) and Tobago (NA). In NA in place were those 2 colonies were(east coast) there are cities nowadays, I don't have that good old book with me, but thatuch I remember. In South America both colonies were in Brazilian rainforests, in place of one there is a city in which some families talked in Latvian until 1980s. Others are not that important to mention, but they were there. Hang on, they are on the coast of Brazil or in the Amazon rainforest? Pretty interesting, but did they really leave an important mark on their areas cultures? Yes, they did, best example is Tobago, it still has original place names and they has Latvian traditional outfits as huge bonus |
