What about Napoleon Final Battle of Waterloo how his empire fell Waterloo was won because of the Prussians. The Britsih at most could have turned it indecisive. Napoleon was having a bad day there too. Ney commanded most of the time, and Ney.... To be fair, Paget also annihlated British cav. Jerome botched Hougomont. The attack with some success was D'Erlon's, but Picton stopped it. And Grouchy .... never talk about Grouchy. Waterloo could have been a decisive victory (one equal to Wagram) if Napoleon had better subordinates. (Would do something more detailed later. Maybe. Maybe not.) |

No. People would hate communism far more if Trotsky was in charge. Trotsky had the idea of "permanent revolution". One that would entail the rise of a global protelariat. That would mean revolutions everywhere. And if that happens, people will die. Not only in the USSR, but everywhere. The people of the USA, of GB, of Japan, of any developed capitalist nation in the world would die. That would make said people hate communism more. Trostky sanctioned wartime atrocities. Now imagine a 'global revolution' with that. Wouldn't we all hate that? *This is not to say Stalin was not terrible. He was totalitarian, and he was incompetent militarily and administratively. |
