Why did they make General of General HD and Non HD? Like what was the point making two games that are free?

I think they just rehashed the graphics in some way for new phone models.

But it made me restart my original GoG from non HD ver. to the HD one since the HD one is better looking and also because you can't load one's progress in non HD into HD and vice versa.

Why did they make General of General HD and Non HD? Like what was the point making two games that are free? Screen pixel density and resolution , you can't run HD on phones lower than HWGA. |
