IYOwhat country is the easiest. Actually, I don't know For me Iran is the easiest, as I mostly play it and have a step by step strategy. It doesn't even require many generals. However maybe one of the main power, like USSR or USA will be the easiest way for the beginner... I can only say that I passed it with all the powers and it is not a big deal as the main feature of 1960 is using the nukes in a proper way. So just pick up the country with the nukes and missle facility and there will be no any problem.

I tried USSR in 85 turns but the eastern u.s gave me trouble and australia is always a pain Maybe japan or england could be easy. When playing 1960 plan Your advance. Try to accumulate 5-9 nukes (depending on the country You've chosen to attack) and some amount of gold in order to finish the country and the airfields in the range just in one turn. That will give You a possibility not to fight this or that country during several turns, no problems with taking/retaking same city. For example I like to kill the British just in one turn. You need like 6-7 nukes and about 3000 gold for that. Taking all their cities just in one turn will eleminate all their generals that are in the see or in Europe out of the cities. It is very easy and at the same time Britain is the most powerful country in Europe with great number of good generals. But irony is that it is not necessary to fight them...

I have to force myself to think that way,my first impulse is to go eliminate the enemy generals and forts and stuff the "normal" way,but yeah sometimes we dont need to,taking all the cities makes everything disapear without a fight. Almost feels like a cheat, muhahaha. I tried USSR in 85 turns but the eastern u.s gave me trouble and australia is always a pain Maybe japan or england could be easy.
