Not quite yet... I don't have Internet at home, other than the phone. When I want or need to access the Internet via laptop, I have to go to somewhere with wifi. I'm starting college classes next Monday, I'm playing Judea in TW13, hosting a Diplomacy game, and looking for a new house with my wife. I did say that I maybe will download WC.

While I couldn't get to a wifi today, I spent some time reading on WC3... I found a reasonable place to learn about playing it: classic.battle.net/war3/As a veteran RTS player, I can recognize some wrong thinking on this website, but it's not a big deal for a beginner who wants to learn anyway. It's far more useful than harmful. You will benefit from reading up on this site.

So you like Night Elves the most for you in Custom Games (not DOTA, just a normal skirmish match in WarCraft III)?

I prefer the Undead because the basic warrior is also a food gatherer and the alcolites can farm gold and dont waste time but also you need to pay so you can mine. Night elves waste a lot of money on wisps but you can pickup your base and your buildings can fight and heal just by eating trees

Night elves waste a lot of money on wisps but you can pickup your base and your buildings can fight and heal just by eating trees So far, I really like the auto-healing of priests for Humans A LOT. I will decide on which faction I will focus on after playing through the campaigns a bit more and do a couple of skirmishes vs the AI at least each faction before praticing... I warn you, I'm a vicious Terran player in SC:BW. I used to be a Zerg player that would pop into your face out of nonewhere, hit you, pop out into thin air. The map control of Zerg is insane powerfully while their units aren't that strong in a head-to-head confrontation, but I loved their ability to roam anywhere in the map and view everything by planting spies in the enemy bases, use flying creatures in the air, and burrowed in the ground some units for a surprise ambush. But later... I realize that I waste too much time hanging back and use a fortified postion to take advantage of a pre-determined location to fight into my favor with a tough group of high-tech units in a defensive position. It became clear that I functions the best as a Terran player, I win through slow pushes and resources cutoff, forcing the enemy to starve or face me in a disadvantageous battle. So I warn you... in SC:BW I'm a vicious Terran, but we will see how I will do well in WC3:TFT (The Frozen Throne, ofc).

You need to be fast at Waw because the Shaman has a lot of useful skilla and the necromancers skilla are useful for the frontliners. A good strat is have a meatshield in front and a lot of ranged troops if you attack a base siege is important you can attack a base without them but if you are attacking a base you need to destroy the workers the main buildings the basic troop building and the altar them the other buimdigs are useless Also when you play TFT the nagas are awesomeee and the Human/Blood Elf Campaing is sooo awesome

Skirmish/Match between players is the REAL MEAT of the game itself. Forget what you see in the stories, it doesn't apply in player vs player matches. Btw you said that I need to be fast in WCIII, that's nothing in comparsion to SC:BW. I believe my APM (action per minute) can hover low at 80 or shoot up to 160 for a quick span which is good enough for an amateur, not a proleague MLG player.

Well I aint the best player but I love the story. But on start build a army building a altar and a food buildings then send a scout to find an enemy base if you hero harass that would be a huge deal ao you can take out a base and make an expansion also try to stay in low upkeep if you are i high upkeep then you have an army that can attack a base if you are in high upkeep there is a huge waste of gold
