Here I'm going to slowly release information on my war to see how people like things so I can add or remove things.
Some things I will likely talk about: Setting Countries (limited amount) Tech Tree (first two tiers) Espionage Will there be fixed alliances or not?
If you have any questions of comments please post here or PM me.

Setting:
The war will be set some time in the mid 18th century and will be based of the Seven Years War, the true first world war. So far I plan on including Europe, North America an India with a small amount of the Middle East connecting India with Europe. I may include North Africa and possible more places but at the moment it will just be set in Europe, North America and India.
I may remove India but I'm not sure so let me know what you guys would rather, India or not? North Africa or not?

And is this FFA or the casual? I am developing a new system that I will explain at a later date. It's neither free for all not fixed alliances. As for the countries, hold on I'm deciding which ones to revel.

I know you have a HUGE list that will have loads and loads of available countries, but I hope you won't let people take up so many countries each. Maybe limit to 1 or 2 max, and minors that aren't taken up can be left as NPCs.

Countries are ranking by stars depending on thier strength. This will mean the player of, for example Britain can't pick Russia or a big nation (maybe the super powers won't be able to take a second country I'm not sure yet) but the Cherokee player can take Bavaria and another country if they chose. NPC countries will be controlled by me via events.

Faction System:In order to give players the most freedom possible while still keeping the game balanced and slightly less salty, I have developed a new system that is neither fixed alliances nor free for all. The factions system is fairly simple, a player can spend a turn to form a faction which they can then negotiate with other players to join their faction. There will be a cap of 3 or 4 factions max and I (the GM) may make NPC factions to help balance the game more since I will be indirectly controlling NPC’s were necessary via events. If necessary for whatever reason I may make changes to existing factions via events to keep it balanced and stop one faction becoming much more powerful than another (I don't mean if one faction does really well I'll break it apart I mean I don't want massive factions with France, Austria, Prussia, Denmark, Spain, Russia etc). There will also be certain countries that can not ever be in the same faction as each other (eg Britain and France) but I will only do this with a small number of countries. The factions system is by no means done yet and I'm currently not sure if: A) you can't leave a faction unless done by event or B) You can't leave a faction for X number of phases and after leaving you can't attack your former faction-mates until after Y amount of turns. What does everyone think? I'd like to thank Desophaeus and Ivan Kolev for helping me flesh this idea out in PM.

You need to type [ /u] to end where you underline something, the formatting buttons doesn't work for me in mobile version so I used the UBBC coding myself while I write my posts with some special formatting

I think that's what I did but I could have messed it up. I'm going to try again.
