Going to say some words to y'all: Napoleon Bonaparte (Österreich-Ungarn): Austria as a first-timer is painful. You did better than I'd expect. Nice try on turning me againt Russia, but A-T cannot coexist Quintus Fabius (Italia): You held out well, but your chronic backstabbing disorder didn't go well for you. Your rumors also helped draw me to kill Singlemalt (Rossiya): Great Ally, formidable enemy. Our war was a battle of wits I could (at best) draw. Good going, you're a solid player. Der Kaiserreich (France): You did OK, but you could've won if you had more experience. Practice makes perfect, and you can get plenty of it in the coming days Frederick the Great (United Kingdom): Very good playing. Your diplomatic intrigues were layered and fascinating. In the long run, you could've won. Von Bismarck jr (Deutschland): You survived in the face of both France and a Russian steamroller. A credit to the name of OvB. Good work. Last but not least, Desophaeus: Good GM work, you kept it running and 99.756% Salt-free! *pats Deso's back. Here's to a game well played, chaps!

Quintus FabiusYou say I was not open to alliances, but that's what I desired most. I had a loose one with Russia, and wanted one with France, but BRITAIN decided to invade. Just so happened France didn't want an alliance at that time, either. Then Russia completed the roflstomp. Thanks, real G's y'all are.

Its harsh to get an alliance with 1-2 pms.. since we dont see each other you have to trust on (in my case bad) english written words.. you not talking for whole round 1 put you on the no trust spot for many i am afraid.. to become each others G, you have to invest in this game i found out.. best player for me in this was our PM!

Simmer down, folks. Let's just stop discussing the what-ifs for now. Plans do goes astray. That is certainly frustrating, Von Bismarck jr. I had my share of fouled up plans. I once played an Italy that almost finished a I-T draw. Throughout the whole game, Turkey and I went back forth a lot from a strong alliance crushing an enemy to bickering neighbors, to mortal deadly enemies locked in a stalemate brawl, and back to bickering then back to solid allies in strong agreement against the rest of the world. AND... then the cycle repeats. In that game, Turkey was a very opinionated and good player, and I was the same as well. We almost lost our friendship over that game, but we knew it was all a game and moved on. Anyway... My dreams were dashed to the rocks after a year and 2 months of brutal hard work (real life, not game year) and Turkey stabbed me for the 6th time and stole a solo, 18 SC to mine 15 SC (plus a 1 SC Germany still alive). I never had seen such a game where a I-T had lasted so long before. It was helpful that the centrally located partner had a couple of units more than the edge located partner in the alliance to compensate for the weakness in strategic terms as a centrally located power. From the beginning, I was able to dictate the fate of the Ionian Sea, but not really able to dictate everything else (I had purposefully ceded my A-H gains to Turkey after Russia died and I killed France). That reminds me... some kind of a quote from a military leader goes something like this: "The victory belongs to the one whose plan is least hurt as his plan encounters reality" or something like "Plans don't survive well as they collide with reality" I don't know... I did remember something that was about how battles rarely ever goes according to the plan on the battlefield.

He was always against me and you are a common target for French forces, so he would've wanted to isolate either me or you.

He asked me for my opinion of you and I told him about the deal you made with me at the start, the one where I help you get A-H via Germany. Why did I tell him? I wanted truce with England and Russia told me England told him that you and I "have conflicting" requests. I assumed that you told England to attack me, athough you also wanted me to do something for you.

I assumed that you were allied with Germany. Also, I suggest that we stop the discusstion before it gets too salty.

6 hours ago, I did suggest that this discussion be left alone. No more posting, everyone. Any discussion on this game is not beneficial, and any discussion on the future games would be better served in a different thread. So it makes sense to stop posting in here. António Salazar or Jean-Luc Picard, lock please?
