Is there some way to refresh the academy tab faster? If you finish campaigns you get 2 refreshes I think. Just play conquest and kill alot of units. |

thank you that helps alot. Is there any other good Artillery genral out there (tier 2) beside grouchy and scharnhorst? Sorry for my bad english. I only see Scharhorst as the best. Yermolov might be a choice also for infantry-artillery, and pyou can regroup them to Isabela. yes he is in tier 2.i see him once in the academy.he had spy and ballistics i think but he dont look good to me |

Look for a conquest where you would normally grind XP or medals. Since you would kill many units in those conquests you will also get more refreshes |

I chose Jourdan because he has Explosive & Ballistics. I have Kutaisov to regroup into him and give him 4 arty. stars. I also have Diez waiting in the academy to give him another movement star. I plan on repeating that (both trainers) ASAP. I've been watching for the horses item too,just haven't seen it yet.
So far with just 3 stars he hits pretty good with either the Powder Mixture or Potent Powder and can only get better.
Another reason I chose him is the 4 Infantry stars and Formation so I can use him in Campaigns if need be. I may even get him a 5th star.

Yeah, I realize all that about the items BUT it also depends how far along you are in the campaigns. I'm not really very far (or enough) to take advantage of many of the bargains there are. I've actually only finished the coalition one and don't want to finish the other until I can get a better overall score. If I'm going to do it,I want an emblem for the effort! It ain't easy with only 4 generals either!

I think I should make a choice among Grouchy, Jourdan and Scharnhorst. Between Grouchy and Scharnhorst; grouchy has war expert and ballistics, while Scharnhorst has accurate. They share engineering. On the other hand, Jourdan is can also be an infantry general, which I haven't any at the moment (waiting for Victoria). Jourdan has ballistics and explosive. Both Jourdan and Scharnhorst are waiting in my headquarters. Their medal prices are not important. I could not decide. What are your recommendations?

Of you have sokolnicki or marmont pick jourdan if you kutaisov pick grouchy or scharnost for speed personally scharnost is better as he has artilery trainer for Sophia, is fast, and cheaper than grouchy |

This is what I've done so far (just needs one more movement star).  After I regrouped him with Kutaisov I got Diez for the move. star and after that was very lucky to have Kutaisov & Diez to come up again when I "rolled the dice" in the academy. I got all his arty. stars,a 5th Inf. and 2 movement with 3 rolls. Of course I had 4001 medlas to work with. I also got a move star for Sophia. I'm very pleased with my choosing Jourdan,he hits hard and the move stars pretty much make the need of a move item null and void. War Expert isn't really very useful,all it does is make his rank go up faster per game. I had Carteaux who had engineering and didn't think it was really worth it. IMHO Ballistics is more desirerable than Accurate. TBH I don't buy what others claim Ballistics is supposed to effect. Combined with Explosive I'm getting what I had hoped for with Jourdan. I use him with Potent Powder (+6 atk.) and he can really do some damage. It's your choice though. |

I am not sure it is the best choice, but engineering and especially accurate seem very good skills. Removing all evasions is worth it in my opinion. I bought an oak wheel and Now both sophia and scharnhorst have 9 move points and can move 3 grids. Making Scharnhorst 5 art. Star and move 3 grids cost me 430(kutaisov) and 184 (oak wheel) medals. You used 4-5 times more to get Jourdan to this level. I think that ballistics and explosive together beat accurate in terms of damage. But I think that the difference would not justify the cost. Can you give me any recommend about choosing Collingwood or Scharngorst for my artillery general I think Collingwood will be better choice to prefer because he has 4 star navy and artillery
