I was stuck at this mission, i tried it many times and then... i tried it again and i was defending Kiev. I destroyed Manstein for the first time, and after that i was sending some troops to the North, and guess what: My has surrounded Minsk. The only thing i did was assisting with artillery. My ally took Minsk. and i had 3 stars. Normally my ally is sending suicide attacks on the enemy.

Yeah poor Roskovesky he is on a Motorized infantry and blindly charges into a hoard of tiger tanks. Later on good generals could charge head on at the start.

Put your general in a large rating city like IV or V or a * city (the star denotes a captial city). The city will help heal up your general, but it's not always worthwhile to do that. It can takes like 15 turns ro heal up from almost zero health to full. Sometimes it's more worthwhile to throw your general at a particular important target and seize the strategic advantage at the cost of sacrificing your general.

Oh different topic, upgrading buildings in cities isn't possible in WC3.

Which makes sense a lot. That would be pretty OP to just build airfields everywhere.

Not really a big deal, but what IS a big deal is the industry cost of that Energy-producing wonder. The answer is no, you should hold off on that one until later.

Guys, I've read this forum's strategies for the allies 5th level, and none of the strategies work for me, what happens is I build the fort near Kiev, and that takes about 2 turns to build, meanwhile I move all of my troops to Kiev to defend it, and the northern part of Germany attacks my fort in development, my ally does nothing really, but hurt himself by sending 1 man armies and stuff, instead of doing a full assault which could easily win this (if he did a ful assault on the north or south, I would hit the other end, easy), but he slowly kills himself, after a few turns, my fort that just finished building is nearly destroyed, my troops are hurt mildly, and the high end tank gen in southern Germany charges, with most of his army, and wipes me out, any ideas? All I have is 2 eye covered generals.

All I have is 2 eye covered generals. My guide: Place an noeyes on the Kiev tank, another on arty or the tank to NW of Kiev. Don't go on offensive. Forts are useless, no build. Manstein is main opponent. Ignore the north. 1st turn, do nothing. 2nd turn, defend with units around Kiev, kill enemies with ones around it. On Bronze north will only send a tank to harass you, so that includes the arty. After that, focus around defense of Kiev. When your Kiev tank is almost dead, first place the NW tank in Kiev, then when that is almost dead, build another tank in Kiev. After manstein is dead, invade north. Keep a unit in Kiev at all times, switch and build if it's almost dead. Don't take the yellow city until Badoglio is yours.

Does anyone know how to get 3 golden stars in this campaign? I always finish it at 13 instead of 12 turns.
