I nominate Laurent de Gouvion and Brock for Illuminati. Cry would be my top candidate , but he isnt that active. Brock is 2nd place because cry has more knowledge

Only the Illuminati members can make that desicion, its not up to the general peasants, but we do have someone in mind, just waiting on. A unanimus vote

Interesting why this is still popping up now and then

Agreed! Submissions such as "Lets extend pioneer status to the first 100 members" or something along those lines will not be tolerated!

This thread is at the moment not valid.
New Illuminati are nominated by Moderators (traditionally not) or the existing Illuminati. They are approved by the existing Illuminati in a process the public does not behold
Pioneers are the First 10 members. There cannot be more. Ever.
At present, there is no mechanism for appointing new members to the Engineering Corps. The likely way is a decision by current group members, and saltin. Public Nominations are not relevant, as a modder's deeds alone warrant admission.
Members of the RP Leaders group are past TW GM's. These people may petition to join, and be approved by António Salazar. Alternatively, they may PM saltin, kanue, and Erich von Manstein. This is for GM's, not public nominees.
Moderators are picked as needed. They are nominated by current Staff, and voted on by the Staff. The Public takes no part in this, save for creating the activity and interest in a topic that calls for new moderators. The decision is made by the Staff, and the picked future Moderator either accepts or Declines.
Senior and Global Moderators are picked by saltin from the Cadre of current Staff, with (I presume) input from other Global Moderators. The Public does not get to nominate.
Therefore, a member cannot be nominated by the general public for any group. This thread thus has no reason to exist, and its nominations are not relevant or valid. Nominations will cause salt anyway, so they are best avoided. By Jean-Luc Picard, the only current SMod, who has read up the relevant threads, and is a member of the Senior Staff.

I would like to mostly move into the direction of group members themselves deciding their group composition and membership with minimal staff interferance except maybe as facilitators. Groups imo should be pretty much members driven that is to say only the group members themselves deciding who to invite, what activity they should pursue and who their leader should be. Although moderators are also technically in a staff group it is a different system than of the membership as it is almost considered a "work" group.
If you would like to create a new group, you can send me or one of the GM's a request.Include the name and purpose of the group (for example a lecture group,ect..).Name of the group leader and you must also have 3 members that have agreed to join your group.
Group name and purpose must be "reasonable" and more or less in theme with our forum to be approved.

To summarize: Group members pick new Group members, the Staff adds the new members to the Group. No Member or Staff nominations for Special Groups are used.
Staff are formally allowed to nominate Illuminati, but we never do as that is the Illuminati's call entirely.
If members see legitimate grounds for a group to form, you can ask for one to be made. If the Administration approves, we will facilitate it.

but no group has any power except for the moderators That's totally false. The pioneers have the power of seniority. We can say that we have been here the longest and thus are most qualified. It is simple!
