Last campaign (British)was a let down and somewhat of a disapointment for me,I would have much prefered a more balanced campaign instead of the close to 100% navy content that it has.

My favourite is the British campaign, although I was sorely disappointed by the last map. I expected something bigger, grander to mark its place as the last stage of the campaigns. But all I got instead was a standard boring conquest scenario. Hell, even Path to Hell was better in that regard. Oh and by the way, despite your grumbling saltin, the British scenario only has actually a 5/5 even split between naval and land maps . That being said, the Navy missions were quite fun and actually made me feel like I was being strategic, unlike most land campaigns in which I don't give a *Auto corrected* about strategy becasue I'm too busy killing everything and everyone as fast as possible to earn 5 stars. Not that I didn't aim for 5 stars or that it was easy to do so, but the more limited resources as well as the generally higher mobility of naval units made it less as repetitive. Close by in second place would be Eastern Overlord though. For both its creative maps, and the usage of both naval and land theatres. Also, I always love the French-Russian missions, for both sides. Worst place goes to the American missions. They are nearly all blitz missions being based purely on mere numbers and how overpowered your generals are.

That being said, why do you people like the HRE campaign so much? Personally, I couldn't bring myself to take it seriously because of how ridiculously the campaign escalated.
I mean like:
1. "We must defeat Napoleon!" 2. "Napoleon kicked our asses, oh noes! Time to fight yet more wars with totally random people!" 3. "Huzzah, the tyrant has been defeated. And now, let's betray and declare war on everyone because unified Germany!" 4. "We must attack France! For no reason!" 5. "Oh and spain too, for shits and giggles." 6. "And Britain." 7. "And... uh, let's invade America? Wait, why do we even want to do this in the first place?"

Last post was hilarious and yah,the HRE campaign didnt make much sense.I think the game would have worked better if they had local regional tactical maps instead of entire random countries. Also,+1 on Eastern overlords,I enjoyed that campaign quiet a bit too.

Actually, the ridiculousness is why I loved it, I was curios on what was gonna happen next the first time I played it.
Also, Saltin, did you prefer the custom made maps of GOG, or the Pre Made map of EW4?

I believe so, I really liked GOG. Tbh main reason is because AI couldn't build butt loads since there were no forts, and the fact that you couldn't upgrade cities, you had to capture them.

I loved Eastern Overlord. Probably because for once France and Britain weren't the main leaders. They were side factions that provided no opposition. I also thought that the side choosing mission between. Russia and Ottoman was kewl because of the two different bonuses and it felt more in depth than the HRE one. Another reason why I liked it is because for some reason it was just so gosh dern easy. 4-5 stars every stage first try. Except for the three Russian stages. Scorched Earth, Ruins, and Patriotic war. I hated those. I agree that America campaign sucks. I was hoping for something a lot better to represent the great battles of my young nation. NOPE. A lot of those missions were, as stated above, speed missions that required OP generals. I don't even understand how America got into some of those situations. I guess Russia gave that one alcoholic guard a taste of Vodka, and suddenly British soldiers are all over Washington. As for imperial eagle and Coalition campaigns, I'm pretty indifferent about them. They were a bit repetitive. One thing I didn't like is how you are on the 5-7th coalition stage and you are facing 5 star french generals. Assault on French much? Anyways that's what I have to say about these campaigns. MC Mountbatten out. Deuces.
