Alexander I has more useful skills than Jackson. Let's compare:
Alexander I
Nobleman: Is pretty useful sometimes, made redundant with the nobility grind. Still useful if you hate grinding though.
Banner: Great if you are willing to cash out.
Spy: Very useful.
Econ Expert: Made redundant by Napoleonic Code.
Jackson
Econ Master: Also made redundant by Napoleonic Code.
Defense Art: s/l skill, useful for tanking.
Business Trainer: Nope. Who would cash out for a trainer?
Logistics: A bit useful.
Alexander has more useful skills than Jackson.

Can we just say the Alexander I vs. Jackson debate has already been settled by my skills analysis? Just to clarify: Logistics = Nobleman (Tie) Napoleonic Code > Econ Master = Econ Expert (Tie) Anyone with enough money to IAP has enough to buy Napoleonic Code. Business Trainer (Useless. Alexander wins) And as Erich von Manstein said, Spy + Banner > Defense Art.
Stars don't matter as much as to make Jackson better. It is trainable. If stars did matter that much, Napoleon would be a very worthy buy and Wittgenstein would be one of the best Tier-2 generals. Also, both can't effectively take cities. They don't have Siege Master or any evasion skill. |

Now Jackson is crap for tier-1, and Barclay basically has nothing but 3 inf stars and bugle. Suchet is still an inferior version of Savary. Soult's inf skills are only slightly below Dobeln and Oudinot. Coupled with his arti potential, he is competitivefor Tier 2, but dies in tier 3 If Jackson IS in tier-1 for a reasonable price(not more than Dumouriez), I'll buy him instead of Arnold. Nah I'd buy him for at least 700 medals tops as 1.He has good movement 2.He has econ master (no tier 1 or 2 has it except J bonaparte) 3.He has okay training |
