Just noticed something... I just looked again and I realize that in EW5, they apparently do have units capable of hitting 3 hexes away. Napoleon has a cannon with a range of 2 to 3.
Long-range artilleries were already fairly abusive in human hands with just range of 2 in the previous games. With a range of 3, this is going to be even easier to focus-fire on a single target and take it out completely in one turn in this game.

Artillery is my favourite piece of unit and now its more awesome

Also after seeing everyone liking the Napoleon in-game, I'm keeping this name

Also do you need to evolve to a specific age to get IAP gens or bassicly any gen

One was infantry One was horse One was short range artillery One was long range artillery (Can best75 or Singlemalt confirm this)

NetherFreek: What i know now: 1. Warrior --> upgrades to... 2. Knight/cavalery/elephant rider --> upgrade to 3. Bow/rifle etc 1-2 , but when i upgraded robin hood --> longbow 1-3 hex 4. Long range shooter/artillery 5. Dunno whether ram kinda troops are 4 or seperate Desophaeus so there are 3-hex shooters

I basically ment this: Its for general deployment. It has 4 categories (the above means all): Inf Cav Short range art Long range art Also when recruting in battle i saw these 4 types of units. So are these the troop categories in the game?

By comments, this is what I get: Genghis Khan is like Erich von Manstein, high output, meh survivalability. Washington is Kutuzov with s/l, very high survivalability with solid output. Napoleon Bonaparte is Sophia, one of the best fort smashers on artillery. And all of them combined is still cheaper than a single WC3 IAPs. I'd say they all worth their price, but depends on you to pay or not.
