If it's "d" Danzig, a place in Germany, where Rommel became a soldier. If it's "s" South Africa, a country in south Africa. Actually Danzig is now Gdansk, Poland. Danzig is the German name for Gdansk and it has been a contested city between the Polish and Germans/Prussians for centuries, in fact Poland owning Danzig/Gdansk (which was primarily German speaking) was Hitler's justification for going to war against Poland (he told them Danzig or War and the Poles refused because they thought France and Britain would save them). And I don't know what letter we are going with so I'll go from South Africa. Adelaide, city in Australia. |
