Alabama, one of those states in the "deep south". For international folks, this means a lot of "stars and bars" confederate flags, a lot of junk cars left out to rot in the sun on people's front yards, and a lot of dirt roads with ancient 40, 50 years old pickup trucks rumbling on them. That's the rural area, not all of the Alabama state.
