Defense missions, the AI controls your units and you get coins and treasures, medals if you do enough defense missions with 3 stars each

I'd say yes. You can just farm your coins back by putting game speed on max and letting the game auto-run the missions for 500 coins per 2 star victory. If you get 3 stars you cant redo though

Rarest resource I found is art
Daily missions can give other resources but not art.
Invasions always give China and ivory so I have many of those resources.
I think art should be avoided to give to princess and generals. Give other resources cause art is very rare.

I agree.. i did india classical age to get some art for building cities. Probably we get it in the next age more.. makes sense

Do the game generously rewards good amount of medals?
... or a more precise question, do these items obtainable for players who do not buy medals with real money?

Well, you get a free 50 medals a day, which we could farm if we knew when they refreshed or what triggered refresh. You also get a pretty fair 80 medals for medieval levels and 100 for empire levels from what I remember, and it's not like you need to upgrade with medals unless they have a good skill or it's a new era for them. Edit: Would it be considered cheating to farm daily medals via changing your device's date/time? |

The number of missions and invasions you get is linked to the number of cities you have in empire mode.
I have 96 cities and now get 7 invasions and 7 missions when they appear.
