In the pacific version i would choose a naval cmdr for team. German generals doesnt make sense in pacific...i would say best team for me in GoG Guderian-Rommel-Patton-Vatutin and in GoG pacific Patton-Yamamoto-Zhukov-Govorov

I've made it to the Korea campaigns and after the initial mission there seemed to be either no need for navy or they were very limited use. The Korean missions are a beast by the way. Can they be beat without significant general support? It seems like you need to go too many directions without enough firepower.

I haven't even ended the Chinese theater till now, no sign of Korea I figured I've played more than enough to send some money easytech's way. I picked up an extra general slot. With Vatutin and Govorov tag team the Axis campaign was't too hard. Korea though I couldn't get past NATO 2 & WTO 3 without some Legion mode and picking up Guderian as well. I'm on WTO 6 now which is just a straight blood bath.

Update: Made it through Korea to the Middle East but it seems like you need full general slots to beat more than the first 2 NATO missions (3 NATO, 3 WTO, 6 total). I have Vatutin, Govorov, Guderian and I'm farming to get Zhukov.
You often can't get enough heavy tanks to just go all tank generals like GoG1 (Rommel, Patton, Guderian, Vatutin), and putting a tank general on a regular tank just makes them arty food. But, Rocket arty (Katyushas) with a top arty general can soften up the walls of enemy for the tank general to punch through & massacre the survivors.

Congratulations firstly on progress.
Second, yeah, rocket artillery with a Govorov on it protected by some tanks can do some good ol damage.
