Hello. I started playing the free version of European war 3 (the ww1 game) Im not sure if there is any difference between it and the money version, but I have a strategy for farming medals. This will be a possibly barebones guide, and I hope I dont fail horribly.
You can get several medals a turn, so its so successful Id maybe call it gamebreaking.Though empires and campaigns unlock at 100 and 50 medals respectively, and are difficult enough that I imagine I need to upgrade my general quite a bit.
Also, its similar to the farming guide for European war 4 made by saltin. Thanks to him for giving me the Idea. The legacy lives on.
Step 1: I used Great britian in conquest. I conquer spain while stealing territories from france. Eventually Germany breaks through so I have to defend against them. Remember to level up your cities and maybe industry.
Step 2: Expand towards italy, taking much or all of their land, so that they dont endanger austria.
Step 3: Expand through central and eastern europe, destroying any enemy country you dont want around (turkey for example) and destroy russia so it cannot kill the countries you want around.
Step 4: now you have the countries you are going to farm. In my case Germany and either austria or bulgaria. You should have most of your resources being produced far from the front. You let germany and the other country take some terriority so they can attack you hard, but not so hard you lose.
Step 5: I made the border the western front, and russo-colonies border. I defend while building 4 tanks per border piece. Give them defence art, and save when you move them into the border. Then the enemy countries attack your border repeatedly, and your tanks can hold for several turns, while also gained medals because they are killing machines. For me this starts around turn 64. I reload after awhile, and gain so far over 500 medals.
This is best if you turn in options speed to max and make it so there are no battle animations. It takes only so many seconds before the enemy is done.
There you have it. A guide to both replicate ww1 trench warfare, and gain loads of medals. If you have no morals or are tired of waiting, I think you might be pleased.
and coming up is a screenshot of the german turn. You can see an artillery attacking an tank, producing an medal, and the ghost of a medal gained through naval combat (I generally ignore the enemy warships) Haunting last photos huh?
