Hi, here are some tactics i use when sieging cities.
First i make sure to have ~9 units.
Horses seems great for archers, but very bad against defensive items. Im not really in favor of them. For sieging cities siege items are must have. Archers are good for killing units in the beginning, for the first siege.
Im sieging 2 times.
The first time i try to get them out of the city and surround and destroy them. When they are killed i try to breakthrough the walls. You dont have time for the palace, nvm that.
The second time i actually siege the city, the enemies units are destroyed as with their walls, with some strong siege items i destroy there palace and conquer the city.
