No medal of gold farming in such a way atm. There is like in gog2 every 24hrs some missions/attacks that are often easy which give you gold/some medals/ some items (including literature)..

Jean-Luc Picard you could get a lot of coins quickly in GoG2, So I thought you could do the same thing in EW5,I think there were Buildings to capture and you get Gold, or was it that it finishes a campaing by putting it to play Auto. ( I remember that I used it a lot one of those two, and I upgraded Tech (Inf Tanks Air Arty Navy Anti-Air Forts)GoG2 ) - just a refference. I have tested it,in Spartan Campaing where you could get a lot of coins by capturing the market,but it wasnt green, so no prize (idk if it qas the same in GoG2) But you get coins for Completeing a Campaing again, so I guess start campaing, auto , agin and again

Well you will always get same rewards from conquest so you can farm in conquest for gold and items.

You should be cautious when spending medals, theres no way to get it back.

On literature which is needed to advance to new age.
literature amount needed to get to medieval and empire age is okay but amount needed for discovery age is much larger.
I think the best way to farm literature than is to play Classicla age Greece.
It gives 20 literature. Only other conquest that gives more is Empire age Persia but that's harder and longer.
Less provinces than other ages.
Using your now 3 star generals you can auto-battle most battles
It does seem like a fast and easy conquest.
