I have made the test fair as much as possible by (Before anyone says so, no I am not trying to stir back the long debate as to whether Lannes or Suvorov is better, rather I am trying the act in the game as to which deals more damage and who is in general better.)
1. I have used the battle of Trebbia (Only camp with Suvorov) 2. Lannes and Suvorov are at the same rank (at def. stats) 3. They are on the same unit : Russian grenadiers 4. Both are on plain, and their enemies are on plain 5. When trying this, both are on full hp 6. This is using s/l 7. I will not account Assault art, as that gives a direct rise in Dmg. 8. They are fighting a French heavy cav (single) So let’s go! 1st Round: Lannes: Deals a 58. Suvorov: Deals a better 67. 2nd Round: Lannes: Deals a 63. Suvorov: Deals a slightly lower 60. 3rd Round: Lannes: Deals a 48. Suvorov: Deals a much higher 59. 4th Round: Lannes: Deals a 57. Suvorov: Deals 61. Final Round: Lannes: Deals a 39. Suvorov: Deals 45. Lannes: 1 Suvorov: 4
In Conclusion: Suvorov definitely trumps Lannes over infantry, but taking aspects such as Assault art, Geography and Leadership compared to Suvorov’s training, Lannes may be the better due to more adaptability in both situation and units making him a proficient hybrid. As of such, Suvorov, only for pure infantry, while Lannes for an all-rounder and for speed-running.

Geography is useless to infantry generals.

It's meaningless to only count damage, or Victoria and Brock will be the best infantry generals. Suvorov is an ordinary infantry general for people not trusting the 2 Arts at all(theroretically Assault>Max Atk mostly). Lannes is for heavy s/l kamikaze use.
