Get Sophia. She is great. Or even Isabela although she is harder to get. With those generals and a bit of skill, you can get Sophia from any conquest. Maria isn't really good, so if to you have no more generals slots I would get rid of her when you get an artillery general.

Maybe you can try Moreau.

Moreau is amazing but costs more emblems. Which might not be a problem considering the all emblem line-up lol. But if you want a free artillery general Sophia and Isabela are the best

Sophia is a good artillery general. Since you have Maria, you should already have her. btw, Desaix is almost equivalent to Sakurako.

so i began playing this game a while ago and i made terrible mistakes untill a found this forums my first general was Saltykov and i even upgraded him to 5 stars, (he was a war expert, so what could be wrong lol) then i got Sophia and instantly reagrouped to him... anyways... after reading all the guides and stuff i think i made a good comp so far and trying to advance in conquest and campaigns so far: Golitsyn with +2 att and +4def Oudinot with snare drums Isabela: 4*art 4*trade right now working on 5* art/trade for isabela and then start gather good items (drums, tents, +6att, horse art and stuff) for my generals also planning to get oudinot alteast to 3* move (hes 1 atm) before i start trying to get Lan and Victoria, gonna play with 4 slots, any idea for the last general? cant decide go cav or art, maybe Ney idk still have some time to decide hope to get some advices from you guys cheers

Either Ney, or get the princess Kate. It depends on whether you want a naval general or another cavalry general. If you want to progress in campaigns, Kate is the best choice in my opinion.

Oh god. That's a huge mistake. Kate is the only decent free naval general. The other good ones are Nelson and Treville but they cost emblems.

Since you've already lost Sophia, you probably need some general with Spy skill, and that would be either Ney (cav) or Drummond (art). And if you think you will eventually buy more general slots, you might consider buy one now so that you can buy an additional trainer general to regroup to your forth general.

Murat will deal more damage to forts. Lasalle will deal more flat damage though.

Lasalle is better as a cavalry general in general sense. But with Spy skill (plus Assault Art), Murat has another role as a fort destroyer. I do not think that the two can be compared (similar to Ney vs Golytsin). So if you want a general who run around killing enemies, pick Lasalle but if you are willing to sacrifice some damage against enemy troops for an ability to wrack fortress then go for Murat.
Since I have Lan, I prefer Murat. Though, I like Lasalle's mustache.

I finally saw his portrait the other day and was dissapointed by that mustache
