November 11 remembrance day in Canada. Almost everyone wear a poppy. But the most disrespectful thing is, when people steal from the poppy boxes. The money is for our Veterans yet people do this Over 5 poppy boxes stolen where I am.

I've set up 30 poppies for former school students (listed in a plaque) who gave up their life in the Great War and WWII

It's quite a shame that in America, people only see Veterans Day (As its called here in the States) as a federal holiday, instead of honoring those who died in the Great War, for those who died at Sea, for those who died in the Air, for those who died in France, for those who died in Italy, for those who died in Belgium, for those who died in the trenches, or for those who died to the Spanish Flu.
(Btw, only includes American soldiers here)
People often say the Korean War is the Forgotten War in American history, and that quite true, but id argue WWI is almost as forgotten. Sure, people remember the trenches, but thats about it here.
*Returns to hermits hole*

People need to honor and remember those who fought as early as the French/Indian war, to the Mexican-American war, every war. Heck, even the Aroostook War. The point is, we need to show better appreciation to our veterans and those who gave it all for us to live in a free world. Let their sacrifice never be forgotten.

It's pretty sad seeing our veterans, since our government doesn't do much to help them.
