Well, Konev is one of my best artillery general together with Govorov. Anyway, I would like to propose MacArthur. A mediocre infantry general with the highest cost.

Well almost all of the British academy,the entire french academy,almost all of china academy useless.
Konev is ok,he would never be a top pick had the selection of artillery generals been more than microscopic but since there are far fewer decent artillery generals than anything else he automatically becomes one of the top choices.

You guys think the Chinese generals are useless? I personally find that they're my saving grace in 1943 or 1939 conquest as the ROC.

I am curious,what chinese generals would you pick that is better than what the other academies like the Russians or Germans have to offer. When the OP says rip off generals I am sure he doesnt mean "of no use" the intent is most likely: "we can find better elsewhere". |

I thought you meant that they're just bad generals, my bad. Yeah, I would pick an American or German General before I'd pick a Chinese one.

It's all semantics I guess,or relative really..as in Einstein theory of relativity ! Just like Konev,I don't really like that general because of his mixed skills he should be considered "bad" but because there just aren't very many good artillery leaders in world conqueror 3 he becomes by default "good".
It's like the ol'saying "In the land of the blind the one eye is king" or something to that effect.

Why not build up a better party general? Costs? alot i did build a 3 star arty general with full marching ability but with low hp since i can't afford it atm but acedmey generals are good |

Yeap,all of Easytech games that have generals do the same thing,give you a large quantity of useless generals mixed in with a few good ones.

Good amount of strategy and lots of patience going into picking the right generals at the right time that fit the particular need of the player depending on medals that are available,play style ect.. |

I really don't think Montgomery is very good. He doesn't have five stars in tanks
while Patton and Guderian and Rommel do. He doesn't have tank skills like Blitzkrieg and Tide of Iron (if I remember correctly) and I just don't think he is worth the medals.

There are two good things about Montgomery. First, he starts as Marshall so you don't need to further spend medals to promote him. Second, he has 4 stars in airforce so he's the only one tank/air hybrid general and this offers a new play style. One bad thing is that he'll be nuked to dead while calling airstrikes in a city in 1960. Anyway, I didn't buy him because I already have 3 tank and 2 air generals.
