Found out the hardest part of this game is the stupid AI. Finished most missions already and will do the last 2 pretty soon. However, the invasion missions are killing me. At lvl 32, i'm seeing lvl 35, 36 invasion and expected that level to continuously go up as i level up. Any idea how to win them?
Line-up is: Caesar (3 star, 1st skill lvl 6, 2nd skill lvl 5), Alexander (3 star), Saladin (3 star), Moctezuma (3 star), Cleopatra (3 star), Barbarossa (2 star), Robin hood (2 star), Joan of Arc (2 star), rest are 1 star.
Expected to have around 5000 medal after completion of the last 2 mission. Any suggestions of what i should do with them to improve for invasion?
English is not my first language so pls don't mind the mistakes

Skills like braveness, spy, rumor, inspiration, leadership are look like the skills that will best help invasion. Have 8 generals at 3 star for increased stats. So upgrade barbarossa, robin hood, and Joan of arc to 3 star. But invasion is not as important as campaign so I am hesitant on spending medals just for invasion.

To me, campaign is not nearly as important as invasion. I can wait for the next update before completing a campaign mission but will lose a lot of resources if I don't play invasion till the next update.
I'm very hesitant on spending medals too, especially on blue generals. With this view, Joan of arc is almost definitely out of the picture, i doubt i'll need 4 infantry units in the future. As for upgrading skills, not sure who and what to upgrade. The only general i see who will follow me till the end is Caesar but don't think upgrading him further would be cost effective. A single super general can't win the battle by himself.
Any thoughts on buying another end-game general or equipment? I'm thinking of getting shield of Keel for Caesar and leaving the paladin armor and ring to saladin but not sure how much that would work

Since you will need to put your (and your generals') life in stupid AI's hand in invasion, I think its result mostly depends on your luck (that the AI won't be too stupid). That's said, what you can do is to play a few times and see what enemy's unit type causes you most trouble then switch your general setting to match the enemy. e.g my normal general setting mainly relies on cav generals, and they kicked me badly with a lot of archer so I needed to switch to Barbarossa and J.o.Arc.
Another thing I found useful is to remove high movement shoes from your generals in order to prevent them from running directly into the middle of enemy team and being ganged.

I dont think you need to upgrade any skill atm to finish all campaigns.. i know i have napolion but i git him with only the last 3 campaigns not finished. I am sure these can be done without him..
Evry 2-3 rounds 1 mission/invasions cannot be finished.. a tip is to do some hopeless mission like10-15 times somethimes its done.
Tbh the only real income stuff that are important are the those on which you put on 3 generals and take time.. these are always victorious and leads to medals(forgot name since i play it only 1nce a day)

Yup, I already do both these stuff. However, just don't have many cavalry generals to change into, as you can probably see from my lineup. And i feel like the enemy AI is smarter than mine... btw, what's your usual lineup?

I mainly rely on Saladin and Huo Qubing because of logistic skills.

I upgraded Huo's logistic skill to lv 5, which cost about 400 medals, for progressing campaign and conquest. I find him useful tho. But... yeah... if you are almost done with campaign then I guess there's no need to waste medals on him. Hunnibal is quite useful because of the troop he commands. I do not spend any medal on him except for upgrading him to 3 stars. Anyway, I find Hunnibal useful for invasion or battle that your enemy has a lot of infantry. Nobunaga is fine but not that good because AI usually brings him to melee range so he dies pretty fast. Well, that's based on my experience tho.

A thing of interest. Getting lvl 36-40 invasion for long time I noticed the general that appears on icon stays constant with the lvl of invasion. When I get Attila it's always a lvl 40 invasion, Abraham always a lvl 36 invasion

I see Attila in many level 36-40 so I guess it's probably a random. What info I can see is general's color and unit. e.g. Peter is a blue infantry.

Just a note, sometimes the AI fields the game general twice (Ex: Two Attilas) which is rather strange, but there will always be something weirder.
