1939 -Axis powers don't have much territory, but they have enough power.Germany will be attacked by all allied countries,so I suggest you Japan or Italy,as they are almost ignored by every country. The first 10 rounds your ally will play better than the enemy. 1943-Axis powers are at their greatest extent, but they are "weakened",and I suggest you to play as U.K as they have good territories to lay on.The Soviets are also weak on the stage as they march their troops to the west, leaving their cities unprotected, and victims to Japanese Empire. From my experience, Germany is the fastest one. But you have to use blitzkrieg tactic. Sending Manstein straight to Brussels then Paris and ignoring Amsterdam is the best way. Meanwhile, going straight To Poznan-Warsaw-Minsk-Moscow while maybe sending your artilleries to Riga and Leningrad is the best. The key for Germany is blitzkrieg. USSR is nothing without generals. Ignore their generals, too. I'd rather be attacked by Rokossovsky for 5 turns because I'm too busy attacking Moscow rather than fighting him for 3 turns and then fighting Zhukov and then Moscow and see USSR is now filled with generals.
