So you bought an inferior tier-1 cav starter (like Charles/Junot), or you want to skip Dumouriez for a better one. Here's who you can get (click on the names and you'll find them in my general analysis: GolitsynSulkowskiRaevsky GolitsynNormal output: +27.5 Anti-fort: +0% Immune to Evasion? Yes Survivability: +0% Trainer? No Movement bonus (light/heavy/Guards+AC): 1/1/1 Price: 955 SulkowskiOutput: +20 Anti-fort: +50% Immune to Evasion: Yes Survivability: +0% Trainer? Cavalry Movement bonus: 1/0/1 Price: 860 RaevskyOutput: +18 Anti-fort: +0% Immune to evasion: No Survivability: +5% Trainer? Move Movement Bonus: 1/1/2 Price: 895 As you can see, Golitsyn wins output, Raevsky wins survivability and speed, and Sulkowski is the biggest saving. Golitsyn's cost and lack of trainer ability (midgame cav general ends up being regrouped into Lan) are a turn-off, as is Raevsky's low output. The speed, however, may be lifesaving in a rushing conquest (where the Cav General is being tested most heavily), so Raevsky is on the table. Thus, I personally rank them: 1. Sulkowski 2. Raevsky 3. Golitsyn

Questions:
Anti-fort is obviously the Spy skill, but what is Output and how is Survivability determined?
Also... move trainer? Hmm, time to really start saving up my medals. Are there any cheaper ones of those?

Are there any cheaper ones of those? Output = damage Survival = I think like Defense Art, Mass Fire Cheaper = I only met Raevsky and Diez. Diez is cheaper

Are there any cheaper ones of those? Output=Damage Survivability=Ability to survive (Defense Art) And the point of Raevsky isn't solely move trainer, he also can be used in rushing

So...to get Isabella, I could use Dumo to give Raevsky 4 cavalry stars (strong as sulkowski?), and then use Raevsky to rush the conquest, and then use him for an unspecified amount of time after that. If you rate him higher than Golitsyn, I could technically use him the entire thing.

The ranking here is for the cav you use until Lan, and regroup into her for trainer slots.

I went straight for Sulkowski, after getting Isabela (How did I survive so long with a cav? I couldn't tell you...). He's amazing, to say the least.

Some people aren't skilled enough in campaign to save for him w/o generals, so they take Dumo as the easy out. Dumo is adequate, ofc, but Sulkowski is simply preferable.
