Anyone have any advice for trying to recruit the generals in certain cities? (I.E. Saladin, Joan of Arc, Barbosa). Through 2 weeks of trying to get Saladin I'm only 50% of the way there  |

Use the correct gift, diamond is most effective for saladin, giving 8% every time so you only need 13 times. Since you can do it every 8 hours, that's 96 hours = 4 days

Um....from what I've noticed you can change your devices clock to bypass time based obstacles. For example you can set your device clock ahead by 90 minutes after starting your daily mission to claim your medals faster, to 8 hours ahead to bypass the cool down time on gifting to gens/princesses.
