This is the first allied mission in the far eastern campaign, the probelm I am having is that the enemies (japanese actually) have tons of units and all of them want to land (considering that your ally general sun does nothing) what are you meant to do??, I defended till round 8 untill I got bored with all of this. Secondly, though I am not an admin who should say this but still people should try to make separate threads so it becomes easier for everyone to access

Shangai Resistancen Introduction to the battle in real (I don’t get a lot of opportunities to boast about my knowledge of the Second World War): In previous so-called “incidents” the Japanese Imperial Army mainly focused on Northern China. With the invasion of China, the Japanese Army tried to seize the initiative in Southern China, trying to conquer China in a giant encirclement. 3 months the 2 armies battled against eachother, giving the Kwomintang (Chinese government) the time to send away major industrial facilities to the relatively safe Central China. Introduction to the battle in-game: Here’s the deal: You have only 1 city (Shanghai), a lvl 1 factory and a level 2 airport. The key of this mission is to hold off the Japanese from landing, weakening them with artillery and then finish them off while they are weakened. Example: 1) So, keep a large portion of your troops in the centre, send a part to the north to keep the Japanese off and a detachement to the South as a base for future operations (taking out the navy general and the aircraft carrier). 2) Build landforts in the center to deal damage to artillery and navy attacks. If you can, assign a navy general to a battle ship or cruiser. You do not really need your generals (I assigned my generals when I had enough money for a battle ship but they didn’t really help). 3) Your unnamed general is WORTHLESS in this battle, largely due to the skills (or actually the lack of it) of Chinese infantry. You can use him as meat for the Japanese. 4) When Araki comes, give him some infantry to keep him happy and meanwhile weaken him with artillery, navy and airforce attacks, when he nears the shores, he is practically dead. 5) After a while, you’ll see that their attacks have weakened in power. Now send a destroyer to explore the sea for any left-overs. 6) Now comes the hardest part (it’s round 20 or something like that now). Encircle the aircraft carrier completely (you only need 3 troops for this as he is in the corner of the map and encircle the navy general. Weaken him with navy attacks and use infantry as meat for his attacks (navy shoots like crap on infantry). 7) Finish him off with a 360 degrees no-scope headshot. Done. 8) Now it is time to insert your sunglasses under the wonderful sound of background explosions. I’m loving it.

By the way, do you also need a guide for the Marco Polo bridge incident? I mean, I can make a guide for you, I just have to redo the mission whilst making screenshots for you.
