Hello. So I just got my first invasions. Belisarius, Jhansi?, and Nobunaga? have invaded my coastal territories.
how does this work? I just killed Jhansi, so obviously you don't get the general, but if I had Belisarius, would beating him benefit my Belisarius? And is there a time limit on fighting them, be weird to lose more territory if I don't move.

The portrait doesn't actually effect anything. It's just for show.

Invasions are just a fancy name for battles between your generals and some random enemy generals, both played by AI. They get retreated every 24h ( or 12) , their number dependenta on the number of cities that you own ( maybe lv too) and their main benefit is that you can farm resources from them easily ( like China, Ivory, Pearls etc.) Their lv is ussualy about 1-5 lv about yours, which can make them kinda difficult sometimes ( us în the discovery agw already know that, until I was lv 40 I bassicly won 19/20)
