Hello, when i play conquest and for example china reaches medival age and got all of their unit upgraded from warriors to sperat etc. So my question is can i also upgrade my units when i reach higher age for free. Thx in advance

Nope. At least not for free. You need to upgrade your buildings in your city in order to train better units. As for the units you already have, they stay the way they are.

Enemies get their units upgraded for free, it is a way for easy tech to make them have a edge over you. still rather easy to beat them back. Unfortunately your units will stay the same regardless of upgrades.

hmm, seems to me their non-front line troops often stay the same.
At least, they often use or continue making low-level troops. This might be the case in later ages because technology is so hard to produce.
