Generals Th key to fast conquest.I used Napoleon, Washington, Saladin, Caesar. All of them are strong enough to take down cities single handily and can heal. Saladin and washington have logistics, Napoleon I upgraded to lvl 5 so he has plunder as a skill, Caesar has Cure master and paladin ring equipped. I am often comfortable with using auto battle with them. I sent them straight for the enemies capital to cause them to surrender. Route i sent general for my angkor conquest I sent napoleon and saladin to the east together. After capture of berlin i sent napoleon west to paris and saladin south to rome than madrid. I defeated egypt using tavern generals. Regular troop I used normal units to protect the cities i captured. Technology is limited so I sometimes produced empire age units. Use of unit cost princess was very helpful in producing many units, I used those cities as main unit production areas. Only rarely used normal unit to capture a city if enemy has little or no troop. Diplomacy Only used when i had many cities with no units they could take. During amgkor conquest i used 2 times. Used after china surrendered to me on russia. I had no troops in the north so I moved troops there from beijing. Used after canada surrendered to me on usa. I moved troops into canada.

How many turns did it take?
Large British region in South America? Am I more deficient in history than I thought or does that make no sense?
I would have Accepted the Inca, since they and the Aztecs seem to represent Latin Americans to lazy easy-tech.
For that matter, Indochina should be french and Philippines should be American. Nice that Japan is finally accurate though.
EDIT: The Eurasian map just popped up. They really gave Italy (anti-german) and the Balkans (divided between the two sides in ww1) to Germany? Was it that hard to turn Germany into a three star country?

While its a blow to the history to leave out inca and the aztecs it makes the conquest faster than ones before since South America can be ignored.

best75, thanks for the attack routes. I am in the Gunpowder Age. But even in Gunpowder age China moves the capital 4-5 times and it is very difficult to crush them without strong generals. In Your screens You are almost ignoring China. How do handle with them and how fast?

In Your screens You are almost ignoring China. How do handle with them and how fast? China in my game moved their capital once to karakorum. After that capture they surrendered. The fortifications in china are quite weak for industrial age, only lvl 5 fortifications. I was able to take some of their inner cities with regular units when they had little or no units.

Well, then I suppose You was very lucky. I suspected that the country surrender due to some template. In earlier ages we need to conquer just capital(s). But starting from Discovery Age I noticed that in order to surrender fast they need to suffer great loses during the game, otherwise they will move the capital again and again. That what I usually noticed while playing against China. If playing neighbouring the China country (for instance India or Japan or whatever) there was no time for them to suffer great loses in battles with other countries so it normally took a lot of efforts to defeat China and it is necessary to do quite fast, otherwise they are starting to build a lot of units due to good economy. Anyway in case it is easier in Industrial Age then it's great.

I have a lvl 6 Napoleon who has plunder so dealing with 1 hex enemy is not a problem because he can heal easily. Perviously when Napoleon had to deal with 1 hex enemy I would build some infantry as a shield.

I did Qing capital chasing once. By the time Qing surrendered, I had already captured almost all of the cities.
