Firstly, I love this game!!!
While im not exactly new, im new here and to conquest. I ha been plugging away on campaigns without any knowledge of all the Nobility and Regrouping etc, so I have some questions if I may-
1- I have started my first Conquest, 1798as France. What would be an average turn score, baring in mind its a first go?
2- I have picked 2 generals as they were cheap (without any info off here). They are- Slimane (for artillery, with explosives) and Bachmann (cavalry) Have I messed up?
3- Stables- What is the -3% all etc ? What does it mean?
4- On Conquest, is there an easier way to tell who you need to destroy/fight? I know my rough history, but I have attacked several 'red' minor countries, only for them to say stop attacking. Do I need to ignore these, or destroy all red? (im 33 turns in, so I hope i dont have to go back and kill them p)
Loving the game, but finding all the general stuff very overwhelming at the moment!!
Cheers.

3- the -3% means that if troops want to attack another troop on the stable he will get -3% attacking bonus. so if someone usually attack 100 he only attacks 97. 4- you should kill all the red things. so also the minor countries. you have to capture all cities and kill all units (including forts)

Ok this might be tl;dr so you can doze off while reading 1/Since this is your first go you'll be seeing enough red countries, most of them will be huuuuuge (likr russia or the holy roman empire), so to do all of the cleanup you might end up with more than a hundred rounds since you'll be going on the corners of the screen (portugal, britain and even russia) so I might expect you having only 150+years rule (I know it's a pain in listening, same thing happened with me when I did a conquest) 2/Slimane is weak enough as I remember, but for the start he can do some stuff so keep him untill you get medals Bachmann is good though (3*) but again, grab some medals and then get a decent cavalry general 3/This part answered by netherfreek (I don't have the knowledge about this) 4/You have to kill each and every red country (if you are blue) same goes for red (if you are red then kill the blue ones), (basically in this conquest just kill the reds, protect the blues who are your allies and leave the black countries, the black ones are NEUTRAL do not engage with them or otherwise they might go green-coloured which be them against you without having any ally(a mad country ) or they too can go red (completely against you, allied with the other reds)) I think I got your points

1. Average turn limit for France should at least get you Sophia which is about 60 turns I think. Sophia is a very solid artillery general. If you obtain a princess you can add her to your ranks by clicking the princess tab and clicking join. Be careful though, if she joins you, the only way to get rid of her is to regroup her, and she will be gone FOREVER.

Thanks or the tips all.
I finished the french conquest in about 55 but no princess (forgot to save).
I have just finished it again as HRE in about 49 turns and got sophia.
Is there a list anywhere of Princess (requirements to get them) I have looked but cant see it anywhere.
Thanks again.

Hiya vayasen and welcome to the forums,we are glad to have new or not so new players! For the colors:The opposite color to your starting color is the enemy so if you play France for example who is a blue country then all red countries are enemies, but if you play Britain who is a red country then all other red countries will be your allies and all blue countries enemies, this is why they are warning you not to attack them as they are friendly countries. The black color countries are neutrals. Both neutrals and allies in general should not be attacked in conquests as it will just drag the conquest to be longer than needs be. Both neutral and allies can change color and turn hostile if you repeatedly attack them/steal from them.

I often have fun by wiping out my allies and watching all of Europe fall into the hands of a small country but I wouldn't reccomend doing that as it is time consuming

I often attack all of north africa in 1798 without any DECLARATION OF WAR, looks awesome that all those countries beg for mercy, and when they are ready to fight they are all nearly dead
