It is possible to do it without Nelson, I did it without gen support in SW corner.
Well played Thx.

Finally managed to beat it myself! This is the team I used. I used the strategy where I punched through the northern «wall» to get at all those income buildings. This costs turns, so you’d better move quickly. Doing this allows you to use Young-hee to heal and to avoid having to dedicate a general in the southwest (that has to be either Nelson or Robin Hood). I had to fine tune the strategy a few times but got it in the end. You don’t need scarlet flash for this either. I just burned the wall units, activated spy and punched through the wall with a triple commandered Attila. I saved the Scalret Flash for the two cavalry generals inside that camp, which is convenient but not necessary.

Most of the Pacific auto-battles, Guam and Busan. Vancouver, Osaka, Wuhan, Santa Cruz, Hulunbuir, Rio de Janeiro, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Panama City. I just did Volgograd because I found the map design fun. I’m going to leave all the auto-battles to the end since those are really annoying and there’s no incentive to beat them.

I'm intending to do a video series on the different strategies to beat Volgograd but it takes so long I keep running out of recording space on my phone - the last one was like 30 seconds from the end! I'll add this one to my list.
